Last Tuesday, the passionate Belmont Rhythmic Singers reunited after a seven-month hiatus. The group of men, including a pianist and nine singers, have been sidelined since March of 2020 and have had to find a new of spreading joy and much-needed entertainment to retirement and nursing homes across Geelong.
Our Michelle Ball of Sirovilla Retirement Village recently assisted the group by securing a grant for the Belmont Rhythmic Singers to feature at this year’s Geelong Seniors Festival in October, performing a rendition of songs from as early as the 1930s. The concert will be streamed online and available to residents on DVD.
We wish the Belmont Rhythmic Singers luck for their performance and can’t wait to watch.
