Sirovilla is governed by a skills based voluntary Board, which meets bi-monthly and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation.

The Board is responsible for Strategic and Corporate Governance which ensures the longevity, financial and social sustainability and ongoing viability of the villages.

The Board also operates various sub committees to assist in provide sound corporate governance. These sub committees are:

  • Finance and Audit
  • Human resources and Occupational Health and Safety
  • Strategic planning
  • Governance

The Board holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the second half of the year. At the AGM the Board presents the Annual Report which includes audited financial accounts.

Tim Head

Tim has been a Sirovilla Committee Member since December 2002 and holds the position of Business Development Manager at CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering. As President Tim serves on all Sirovilla Subcommittees.

Peter Rodgers

B COM, DIP.COM, CPA

Peter is Business Manager of Nelson Park School. Peter is a CPA and has significant experience in accounting and business management systems. Peter joined the Sirovilla Committee in December 2010 and is Chair of the Finance and Audit Subcommittee.

Dennis Barker

CPA

Dennis has recently retired from Director of Sustainable Communities at Surf Coast Shire where he was responsible for land use planning and community services. Dennis is involved in various community groups such as St Laurence, Deans Marsh Community Houses, Lorne Community House & St Bernard Parish Council. Dennis joined the committee in 2013.

Richard Anderson

LLB AND B. COM

Richard Anderson is a Principal and past Chairman of Harwood Andrews Lawyers. Richard’s experience includes services to statutory and local government authorities in the areas of contractual rights and remedies. Richard joined the Committee in 2011 and Richard is on the Governance Subcommittee.

Joy Leggo

BHA,MBA. GAICD.

Joy has been a Committee member of Sirovilla since October 2007 and serves on the Governance and HR Subcommittees. Joy is the CEO of Multicultural Aged Care Services based in North Geelong.

Karen Pritchard

BBSC, BAHONS,GRAD DIP B, M, GAICD.

Karen has been a Committee member of Sirovilla since February 2011 and serves on the Strategic Planing Subcommittee. Karen currently holds the position of Manager, Aged & Disability Services with the City of Greater Geelong.

John Temple

BA, DIP ED PSYCH, GRAD

John has been a Committee member of Sirovilla since December 2003 and serves as Chair on the Strategic Planning Subcommittee. John currently holds the position of Manager, Student Health and Wellbeing Services at Deakin University.
